Plyo And Sore Throat.

Hey everyone. What a long sweaty day this was. I am just amazed how hot it can get during the day.
Did my Plyo today and felt a bit weakish. I ended up with a average heart rate of 146. Did some shopping, walked the dog, cleaned some and then did my other workout. Right before I started said workout I felt a bit weird in my throat and over all tired yet I pushed through. I was absolutely BEAT right after guess I am getting sick. I can not even sit up straight right now. Here is my daily burn progress image of today. I had noodles...lots of them, with chicken and tomato sauce...and cheese. It was good and needed. I hope I will be able to push through tomorrows workout. Day 65. Done.

Chest, Shoulder And Triceps, Day 64 and P90X2!

Today, Chest, Shoulder and Triceps went by in no time! Plyo Push-Ups are still INSANE, but I did 5 of them...on my toes baby! I decided to not up my weights to much anymore but to stick to a lighter weight and to do more reps. In fact, this workout asks for lighter weights, try to do 40 weighted circles! It hurts no matter how heavy your weights are.
I still have to do ARX tonight but already did a Card Deck workout following today's P90X workout. There was lots of core in this one which I need for my messed up hip.

Rest Day! Boulder!

Good Evening everyone! I had the most amazing day with my incredible little family. We went to Boulder to the Extreme Tubing Creek. My apologies for not knowing the exact name. It is right by the foot of the mountain and the whole area is covered with OLD trees. Along the creek there is a playground, also covered in nice shade provided by those nice trees. The kids enjoyed the water so much and then build a bunch of muddy sand castles. 
I will stretch tonight  while watching Pirates of the Carbine! YAAARR!
I did fantastic with my diet today! Tomorrow it is Chest and Back and a new brutal Card Deck workout.
I noticed that P90X is like brushing teeth now. I can not go without it. Today, since I stretch at night but do normal workouts right after I brush  my teeth, I almost forgot to brush. Hahahaha

Kenpo X, Week 9!

Am I really almost in week 10? This is crazy. I have been feeling so strong. I could not even do a Pull-Up in the beginning. This all was not just about losing weight but sort of about finding myself. And I truly did. There is more to find and I can  not wait to get to know myself better and push myself harder.
Anyways, Kenpo X was great...it is sort of like a "break" for my muscles. Tomorrow is a stretch day and I can really use it. My buns are so sore! I hope all of you are eating clean!

Holy Monkey Nipple, My Buns Burn.

Monkey Nipple is about as much cursing as you will get out of me. Legs and Back took it all out of me. Whenever it is Chest and Back I literally KILL the Pull-Ups yet when I do it on my Legs and Back day I feel like throwing up with every Pull-Up. Don't know why! Anyways. I also did my buddies workout that he made for my buns and legs. Brad is amazing and he comes up with some weird stuff....reversed Push-Up...Whatever! My buns and hamstrings are burning! Thanks Braaaaad!

GutenTag! Say Yes To Spinach.

Hey everyone. I am having a quiet day today, did my Yoga X and some cardio leg workouts...I also cleaned out my entire walk in closet. I sure hope that counts as a workout! Ha!
Yoga X is awesome and I can hardly wait for Yoga X 2! 

I slept quite wonderful last night. I am having my carbs all before 2pm and fill up on fat and protein through out the rest of my day. So far it is working out quite well and if I sleep well again I can say I found my Phase III diet. I had an awesome banana/raspberry/spinach smoothie today. I needed to fill up on 60g more carbs so I figured this would be a good idea. I used 1/2 cup of raspberries, 10oz of skim milk, a small banana and two cups of baby spinach. Blend...and enjoy! A buddy of mine gave me this idea and I am thankful she did! Here is a picture of the goodness.

Shoulders And Arms. I Missed You.

Dear  carbohydrates. I am having a hard time getting you to 60% and  when I am close I can not sleep at night because I am buzzing. I had a total of about three hours of sleep in the last 48 hours. I feel it, my numbers where sort of the same to day and suddenly my 10lbs dumb bells felt HUGE! So please give me a break...
I will give this two more days and if I do not adjust to it I will go to a 40/40/20 ratio and see how I do on that. 
Today is me and my husbands anniversary! We are married since five years. I love you babe, thank you for supporting my workout needs and giving me two beautiful children. I know I am not always a simple woman and tend to be difficult. DEAL WITH IT. Muahahaha! Kidding of course. I love you. Until eternity.

It Is Just Way To Hot.

Just typing this and I am sweating. I am sweating everywhere...even in the palms of my hands and yes my AC is on and working.
The new nutrition plan is working okay, made it to about 50% carbs yesterday. I am trying to get it up to 60% today, I feel fine and have a bit more energy then on just protein.  
Plyo X went good tonight. I have a slight soreness in my quads after yesterday. My chest and back do not hurt. Don't believe I have to be sore every time.
I also did some strength training for my legs. Not much only for about 12 minutes. That is all for today. I am warm and need to go stand on top of my AC vent.

I Just Killed Chest And Back.

Good morning friends! I am all happy today when not even 3 hours ago I was scared of my mind due to the new Phase nutritional  needs. 60% of carbohydrates is so much but I really want to give it a shot especially with all the doubles I pull. 
I put 1/3 of a cub of oatmeal in my Shakeology this morning. Carbs, to me, have like a magic aura or power to them...so I sat there waiting for me to get a huge boost of energy. It did not come...LOL

I must say though that throughout my workout I had lots more energy. In week two of my P90X journey I did 95 Push-Ups and 61 Pull-Ups during the Chest and Back workout. Today? Today I did 200 Push-Ups and 63 Pull-Ups (first round I did them all without a chair, second round I did them with a chair). Every overhead grip Pull-Up still hurts my shoulder. Not too sure why. Anyways, talk about an improvement!!! I am so thrilled! 
I am doing the card deck workout today, just for my legs. Here is what I do. Hearts - Squat jacks, Diamonds - Diamond jacks, Clubs - Mary Katherine Lunges, Spades - Leap Frogs (I add, leaping UP THE STAIRS), Ace heart and diamond- Choo Choo train and ace spades and clubs- 20 burpee's. Special thanks to my buddy Brad!

Just A Reminder.

I Am Rather Sore Today.

Good morning to all of you on this beautiful Sunday! 
Today is measurements day, I was rather excited so I woke nice and early just to check for my inches. I can not believe it has been 60 days already! My core, arms and back changed quite  a lot. I wish I would have more changes in my thighs and butt though it is where I carried the most weight when I hit the 200lbs mark back then so I should be more patient with myself...yet I got all those extra plyo workouts in my head to kill the last bit of fat on my legs.
I am thinking back now...when I started Beachbody programs I was at 168lbs and a body fat percentage of 37%. Now I am at 126lbs and a body fat of 19%.
Here are my measurements as of this morning!

Day 1: 130.3 lbs.
right arm: 10.6 inches
left arm: 10.6 inches
right leg: 22.2 inches
left leg: 21.1 inches
butt: 38 inches
waist: 26.8 inches
hip bone 34.3 inches
 
Day 60: 126.7lbs
right arm :  10.2 inches
left arm :    10.2 inches
right thigh:  20.9 inches
left thigh:   20.6  inches
butt:  37       inches
waist:  25.6   inches
hip bone: 33.1 inches


That's, in 60 Days, a loss of 6 inches. :D

I am 154  Days into my Beachbody journey. Look for yourself! I recorded my first measurements before ChaLEAN Extreme back then but the rest I did on a calendar. With P90X I really started using it more (teambeachbody.com that is).

OH DEAR!!!

I am in so much pain right now. I messed up all of my yoga mat with my sweat. I just did the most INSANE workout  I have EVER done. Click here to see what I did:  BOOTCAMP Day 2 
You take a deck of cards, shuffle them, pick 5 sets of workouts and get going. For Hearts  I picked X-Jumps, for Club Bear Crawls, Diamond <--> Shoulder Taps, Spades was Hop Scotch and whenever I pulled a Ace I had to do 50 Wacky Jacks. I used a yoga mat, once up and down the yoga mat counts as ONE rep, now imagine pulling Ten of Hearts and then Queen of  Hearts...well that would mean 20 X-Jumps in a row. The Shoulder Taps where  the hardest. OH DEAR! The hole workout took me 91 minutes (8 minute warm up) and my average heart rate  was at 162. With a VO2 max of 42 that makes 930 calories!!!!

My shoulders  will fall off tomorrow. I am sure of it.





Core Syn and Carey Potts workout.

Hey everyone! Yet again I am a day behind. I am so stinking busy. So much for the recovery week, lol.
Yesterday I did Core Syn. Bananas get easier  yet is still quite a hard move for me. I did well, I am in love with this workout.
Right after that my fabulous up-line coach posted a Boot camp video which, if you follow it, will get you ready for P90X 2! You can download it, completely free (yeah Carey Potts rocks like that)  and just do it! (though you should have done at least one round of P90X, Insanity or Insanity The Asylum ) So I did her first workout (which means I did doubles...my bad) and feel quite well today. I am not sore at all but VERY excited for tomorrow. You all know what tomorrow is, yes?! That's right, it is time for measurements. I can not wait!
I have to drink more. With all the workouts and on the go I hardly notice being thirsty though this is important friends: DRINK YOUR WATER. 
Anyways...I will post again later to keep up, Carey's Workout today will be the killer!!

Stretch X!

I knew last  night that I more then likely will be too tired for a workout today. Sure enough I was very happy to see that it is a Stretch X day! So I do not have much to say besides...people, never skip the stretch!

Shame On Me.

Shame on me for not posting!! You guys are welcome to yell at me for that! 
Did doubles yesterday, Cardio X and Shoulders and Arms with my dear husband. I love working out with him! 
My diet is going grand. I am at about 60% protein, 10% carbs and 30% fat. I am already detecting "small" on my keto sticks. I do NOT recommend this diet to everyone. I just work VERY well on low carbs. Others get headaches and other pains the first couple of days. I never do. I love meat...could rub steak all over myself. I still have my Shakeology though, could not go without it.
Husband has GREAT results so far and I can not wait to take my stats on Sunday! Love most of you...as always :D

Core Synergistics, I Am Loving It.

Hey folks! Today is day two of my second Recovery week. Incredible. I had Core Synergistics X today and finally can put a vote on which workout I like the most...and yep it would be Core Synergistics. For some reason this  workout makes me feel as though I am wearing a corset. I feel 100% better in my skin after said workout is done and have the need to put on make up and be all Oh lalala. 
I cut down carbs again. I tried upping them for about a week now but it was not feeling good. For some reason they make my tummy upset and I had the hardest time filling up my calories. So bye bye carbs and say hello to momma MEAT!

Recovery Week Day 1!

Good morning everyone! I had the most amazing weekend yet most of my weekends are great. We have some pretty awesome neighbors to say the least.
Yesterdays stretch was uneventful but felt amazing and today's Yoga X went by in a flash. I am sure I will do something on top of that even if it is just going for a walk with my little ones. 
I feel great yet I sort of crave a full body BUTT kick workout. I wonder if it is alright to do so during my recovery week. After all I must be getting ready for The Asylum.
The last two  days I had major issues getting my calories up. I tried to be balanced and think I did do so. I shall share that with you guys today.



This is a day that I kept balanced. Normally my carbs are lower then this.

Kicked Kenpo X's Butt!!

Happy Saturday to all, 

today was a good day! I feel grand and even got to sleep in today (thank you babe!). I just did Kenpo X and I really killed it. I always feel like a Spartan Warrior doing that workout...if  I only had a spear. O_O

Average heart rate was at  155. Tomorrow I just have a stretch day, yet I might throw in some cardio intervals, then I am already in my recovery week! Time goes by fast.

Legs and Back, More Calories!

Have you ever tried one legged wall squats on your toes!? It hurt so good. Legs and Back is still a very fun workout. You  can modify it so very nicely or bump up your weights or even do curls during your lunges! 
I was able to up all of my weights but still maintain my numbers. I upped my calf raise to 40lbs (20lbs each hand) meaning I did 75 calf raises holding 40lbs. My arms and calf where killing me. Since I started upping my calories I feel stuffed and unhappy (ish) at night. Eating an extra 200 calories is HARD! Checked my weight this morning just to ensure I am not gaining anything and guess what?! I lost one pound. This was not my goal but I guess there is nothing much I can do. 

I set a date for my first day of Insanity The Asylum. I want as many people as possible to join me! Write me an E-mail if you wish to do it. The motivation won't hurt!

I Went All Out!

Pretty Day to all of you!
Today I went all out. I still have the Asylum on my mind as my next workout! I fear to lose to much muscle if I where to do JUST Insanity next so I will jump right into the Asylum. I will order it next Thursday and then add two workouts a week to P90X to get semi ready...plus lots of Intervals whenever I can. Did my Yoga X this morning, held crane for 45 seconds and did a full toe lock (the only two things I had problems with). The Intervals (did 42 minutes) got my average heart rate up to 156 which is nice. 
Today I am a tad on the edge. People are acting silly. Yeah...silly is fine yet common sense should still be on the menu! For instance, Shakeology can help with your IBS, it can help with a lot yet you should ALWAYS consult your doctor. Statements like "who needs antidepressant medication if you have Shakeology" are NOT alright and even dangerous. NO ONE who is on the medication should simply stop it and go on Shakeology. Talk to your doctor, he/she can help you  reduce the medication. Workouts and Shakeology and a healthy lifestyle will make you feel better but if you are seriously sick don't just stop your meds, we are talking about a real mental illness that can be controlled with a better lifestyle but that does NOT go for everyone. So unless you have a medical degree...I'd say zip it before something dangerous happens to people that follow your lead.
If it worked for some of you....grand! But be aware that it won't work for everyone so such statements on a social web page is simply...dumb.

Enough of that. I go have lunch now. Two scoops of chocolate protein powder, one scoop of shakeology, milk, and dark chocolate. Blend and enjoy!

Back And Biceps What's Next?

Hey there,
I am so sore today! I figured, after yesterdays Plyo  X I should do some push-ups on a darn ball. Of course this did not stop me from doing Back and Biceps today. It did affect my numbers a tiny bit but I am less then worried. My daughter Juliet Rose worked out with me today, like she does every day! So adorable.
A bunch of people asked me how I get my protein up so high. Well...it is all I am eating. More or less. I have about 2-4 protein shakes a day depending on how much meat I eat. I love meat and could not be without it. *thinks of a juicy steak* Twice a week I up my carbs a bit. I know that in Phase III I will have to have a lot more carbs then I have now. It will be difficult yet I am thinking about Insanity The Asylum next! And that nutrition guide holds way more carbs. So I figured if I start eating more green veggies, in about two weeks, I should be golden.

Plyo X, Do Not Skip Your Breakfast

Pretty day to all of you! Today I set my alarm to 6.30am to do Plyo X with my husband. I had no time for breakfast but thought I'd be okay with it. Well...27 minutes into the workout my husbands knees hurt and I could not get my average heart rate above 147 (<--lame). So I stopped, had my breakfast (which was as always Shakeology) and restarted the whole thing. 50 minutes of Plyo X (I don't count the 27 min in the morning) with an average heart rate of 158! I felt amazing and took some funky pictures!

Chest, Shoulder And Triceps, Week 7, Better Form!

Hello Followers! Today I started week 7 of my P90X journey and I am so excited! I can not believe I will have a recovery week again next week! O_o
After I pushed myself so very hard with heavier weights during Chest, Shoulders and Triceps, last week, a buddy of mine corrected my form a bit and told me lower weights might be better and in the end more effective since I can use perfect form so that's just what I did today and I am totally burned out. Some of the numbers might be similar to week 5 BUT I did not use good form in that week. I cheated this morning as well, I checked my inches and lost another 0.5 inch on my thigh and hip (in two weeks) while keeping my weight at 128lbs, I must do something right!

Intervals, Stretch X And Goal Pants!

A beautiful Sunday to all of you. Yet again, I had an incredible weekend  though was bit a bunch of times by mosquito's on Friday which meant for me no Kenpo X. Those suckers (<--- haha) got a hold of my shoulder and instead of itching, it is just swollen and hurts quite a bit. Friends had us over for dinner last night and there I had the BEST home made Salsa I have ever had. I could eat it all day, every day and would not care about the onion smell I leave behind.

Anyways. I got myself a pair of pants a while back. I got them at a thrift store for 2 bucks. A size 4 and very very long legs. Jeans of course. I figured I would never ever fit in those jeans, being a size 14 at that time. I had to buy them anyways not just because they where $2 but because I ALWAYS have a problem finding long enough pants. Even a "long" tends to be to short. When I got home I tried them on only to find that I could not even get them over my knees! Surely I was upset. Now over the last 7 months I was trying them on to find that I can hike them higher each time, inch by inch but I thought, due to my hip bones sticking out so far, that I could never close them up...can't shrivel down bone now can I? Two weeks ago I tried them on, husband shook his head and said I will just hurt my hip bones even if I do get to close them. Yesterday I figured I should yet again try  and slipped them on, closed the zipper like they always fit me. I almost cried. Could not believe it. Of course they are rather tight but I don't care. I did not take them of all day even though we where in the 100's yesterday.Cool thing is, they are so tight you can't really feel when you have to use the ladies room...waste of time anyways O_O
Today, due to me skipping the workout yesterday, I did Intervals. 50 Minutes long with an average heart rate of 134. My Vo2 Max is at 42. So you do the burn math. Also did Stretch X (feels so good!) and now have to try pulling those 5 feet tall weeds while my kids have a picnic in the front yard. 
I am having my favorite snack food right now, Planters NUT.rition Bone Health Mix. So good and perfect for me since I have such problems filling up my calories at times.

Legs And Back, It Already Burns.

Good grief it is so very hot outside! I have not been picking weeds in days so the result is a jungle in my back yard. 
I am still sleeping crappy yet I always have enough energy for P90X, did Back and Legs today. The numbers where all there and I was even able  to use 15lbs instead of 10lbs.
Overall it was one of those days  where  old lazy Bri sat in my ear telling me I should go take a nap or eat some ice cream. Each pull-up made me almost throw up yet I pushed through and gave old Bri the middle finger. Really, I did. My pull-up numbers seem lower but that is only the case because  I hardly use the chair anymore unless I am very much exhausted. My husband is almost done with week one. I made him a schedule with hardly any leg work in it due to his knees. He had Core Synergistics today.

Yoga X And Some Sweet Cardio

I am incredibly tired today! Did my Yoga X at 8am in the morning, plus Ab Ripper X plus some cardio just now. I did good during Yoga, it is starting to get a lot easier! Held my crane for about 30 seconds and I believe it was quite the pretty crane. Angle pose is easy for me (he pretzel looking thing) but extended leg lock still kills me.
This mom is ready for a nap yet my daughter is about to wake up which means no nap for me but cleaning, folding laundry and so much more.
The weekend is almost here. I would say this week went flying by in no time! Good grief I will be starting week 7 in a couple of days! I would love to take my inches now but will have to wait two more weeks.

Back and Biceps and HOUSE CLEANING!

I am so behind on my household it is not even funny. I have a pile of laundry right here and dishes in my sink. All because of two days not doing much when it come to THAT.


Today's workout was absolutely fantastic. I was scared of it due to me being sore from Monday still but my numbers are better then last week and that is all I care about. 
I also went through  P90X's nutrition guide again and remembered that I will be having only 20% of protein in Phase 3. I am terrified of that!! I am at about 40%-50%. It of course makes all sense but is also a different mindset I will have to get used to.

Cardio X and Waterworld.

Only 4.35pm and I am toast! Started the day very early with my lovely husband. We did Cardio X instead of Plyo knowing that Waterworld and the sun will beat our butt. We have not done anything like that without the kids in forever. We did not have to worry about kiddos drowning or burning in the sun. It was a blast.

Cardio X took it all out of me! Normally I work out around 9am yet  today it was 7am which turned out to be a lot harder. I also got my second shipment of Shakeology and today my awesome shaker came with it plus a new recipe card.
I am quite sore from yesterdays workout and so is my husband. He says he likes it and is sticking to the diet I put him on as well.
Yesterday a bunch of people asked me what it is I snack on. This is rather hard to answer since I really don't snack much but I eat every 2-3 hours. If I don't, I die, sort of like a shark when it stops moving. I start with Shakeology, have a protein shake post workout, eat nuts, beef jerky, eggs, chicken breast, string cheese (not the fat free crap), a bit of dark chocolate, green veggies, berries (love cherries) and some days a handful of Chex Mix. I am guessing beef jerky and nuts would be what is considered snacking. I try to stick to a 2000 calorie diet with a 40/40/20 ratio though some days it might be 50/30/20 (being percentage).

Chest, Shoulder And Triceps, Start Of Week 6!

Major chest burn here for this lady. Did both of my workouts already, Chest, Shoulders and Triceps and Ab Ripper X. I felt good but all those push-ups are intense. PAIN! 

My daughter worked out with me, she is the cutest and makes me laugh hard so good form, while laughing, is rather hard. 
My husband Zac, who did two weeks of Chalean Extreme is switching to P90X today. ChaLEAN is quite short since you find yourself squatting plus doing a shoulder press at the same time. Needless to say, his knees are killing him even though he uses good form. 
I am putting a program together for him, leaving out Plyo. He will have to deal with once a week Legs and Back. He is also cutting out almost all of his soda (but one can) and will eat during the day (mostly lean protein) which is very VERY new for him. He would normally live on coffee and soda at work and then eat all of his calories at night. I am excited that he lets me use him as my little test bunny. He has great muscle definition to begin with so with better nutrition he will have nice results.
My numbers where the same as last week but I used 10lbs more often then last weeks 5lbs. I also took a little video. Hope you like it!!
