Buns

And because Vertical Plyo wasn't enough....

Day 4. Vertical Plyo. OUCH.

Dear...*insert higher power* this workout is....I can't find the right word. It killed me. My heart rate was some where at 179 most of the times which made  my tonsils hurt. This is no joke especially when you are not a graceful being like me. I am clumsy and even my normal every day walk is considered weird. Here is today's video...and yesterdays diet ratio. Higher protein made me feel awesome. Love most of you!

Back To Core Day 3!

Good day! I feel just as weak and burned out as I did in the beginning of P90X. I am suppose to eat more carbs but it is just not working. Yesterday I did everything by the book but my stomach was killing me. I will try to up my protein, which normally makes me feel better, and see how it goes. I will post a pictures of yesterdays ratio.

Back to Core was quite hard to day. My hamstrings where still hurting from yesterday. This is my favorite workout BY FAR!
Here is a video and the pictures!

Day 2 Of The Asylum.

Good morning everyone! Absolutely beautiful day don't you think? Finished my Strength workout this morning and noticed that all the Shoulder Taps and Moving Push-Ups in yesterdays workout, burned me out for today. This workout series is NO joke...and there is no way you will have results unless you push yourself 100% every single day. The Asylum requires a diet of 1500-1800 calories. Where this was no problem with P90X it surely is a problem with Shawn T's Asylum. I am hungry ALL the time. It's insane. I want chocolate milk, cheese...chicken...a whole one please. So instead of my Shakeology for breakfast I did oatmeal instead and had the Shakeology as my recovery drink right after Strength.
My shins feel better today and I am very excited for tomorrow. Back to Core is my favorite workout. Here is a video of today.

Speed And Agility.

Holy cow guys, this was so so hard. I set my alarm to 6.15am this morning because I knew I will need to eat before Speed and Agility. I started and already through out the warm up my shins where killing me. I was sweating like crazy...I mean I WAS SOAKED! I loved every minute of it but surely cursed a lot. "Now, I want you to dig deep people, give me all you got, there is no reason why you should not be as fast as in the beginning of the workout." (and he said this when there where only 18 minutes left of the workout.) WHATEVAAA!
I did it though and had an average heart rate of 164. Sweet, salty sweat everywhere. I will try to work out without shoes hoping it will make my shins fell better.

Here is the sweaty mug of today.

Core Syn And Some Speed.

Hello happy people! Tomorrow is my last day of P90X...*sniff*. I will be starting The Asylum on Monday which will be a 30 day program and after that I will be doing a hybrid of P90X and The Asylum. I will be ready for P90X 2!!!
Anyways, I started my day with Speed and Agility, still getting used to the moves. 49 minutes, average heart rate at 168. It was a killer. Then I did Core Syn, with my lovely husband. Surely one of the workouts I will miss a lot, every morning, after doing Core Syn, I will like I am wearing a corset!
Here a mug shot...it has been a while.

Still sick! But still pressed play. I did not go insane today and just pressed play with Kenpo  X. I feel like sleeping but I can't. Instead I do laundry and play housewife. Oh such a joy. I hope I feel better for my biiiirfday tomorrow! *dances* Only a couple more days and I will be a Chalean Extreme and P90X graduate! Oh and by the way....

Day 86, Core Syn...Academic Evaluation Sevice. Blah

Hello my dear readers! It is day 86 and I just finished my Core Syn workout. My stacker Push-Ups rock and so do my Sphinx Push-Ups. I can still say that this is my favorite workout. Everything that includes lots of core work I fancy quite  a lot.
I finally decided I know what I will do next to my CPT. I am going for my Bachelor in Nutritional Science with Kaplan. I am also rethinking the whole NASM thing. Their text books are quite easy so I am thinking about NPTI Colorado. Yay student loans. All I need to do now is translating all my educational certifications from Germany and have them also evaluated.
My husband is home with me today so I shall keep this short to drink in every minute I got with my man.

Bye now <3

Day 85! Yoga X Though I Am Sick!

Hello everyone, my apologies for not updating you yesterday. I am quite sick and could not even stretch so I figured I will not bore everyone :)
I feel just as bad today but pressed play anyways. Yoga X was on the menu...I felt stiff and feverish. I also lost 3lbs which bothers me more then anything. Oh well, I will gain it back I am sure.
Only a couple days left and I will be done. How scary awesome!

I hate P90X! ITS AWESOME. <----?! That is how I feel about it. A hate love for sure. <3
No pictures today...I really do not look well. :) Thursday is my birthday. I will be old.

Interval Plus Day 83!!

Good Saturday to you folks!
Today just a quick post, I am about to have my Birthday Garage Party and have to clean a tad before hand.
This morning I switched out Kenpo X with Interval Plus which is quite a hard workout. Two of  my friends joined me and I was impressed in how hard they pushed themselves. I got tired earlier then they did and had an average heart rate of 170 and was, at times, was in my red zone. I worked out an hour later then usual but had breakfast at normal time (8am breakfast and normally 9am for my workouts). Needless to say I had quite a bit less energy during the workout.
Just now I had a super lean steak and awesome sweet potato fries. So tasty!! Only 7 days to go!

Day 82, Last Time I Did Legs And Back.

I mourn today...due to me doing Legs and Back the very last time. It is bitter sweet for sure. *rubs eyes*
My numbers where great, did most of the leg sets with 15lbs dumb bells and my Pull-Ups where alright as well.
It is so beautiful outside! The sun is shining yet we are only in the high 50's. Great for taking a walk with my beautiful family. I am watching my kids right now, they got all their animals out of their toy chest and started playing Zoo. Too adorable for  words.
Tomorrow is my Garage Party in honor of my birthday (which is on the 22nd of September).
Anyways, my recovery drink after my workout looked like this: One ripe banana, one scoop Shakeology, 8oz of skim milk and a piece of dark chocolate. It was amazing! I really could not be without my Shake.
Tomorrow I might switch out Kenpo X with Kenpo X Plus...depending on if I get my hands on the DVD or not. :) Thank you everyone for reading! Love most of you...as always.

Yoga X And A Swifft Kick In The Butt By Shawn T.

How I love my Yoga. I think I say that every week?! It is almost done...bye bye P90X in 9 days! WOW!!
So today I checked out some of the Asylum stuff. I was thinking that I should know and learn all moves before I start on the 26th. I popped in Speed and Agility and it was NO joke. I had a average heart rate of 172! I took only one break at 18 minutes. I am not as fast as the people in the video (duh) but I was happy that I did not touch the ladder at all besides twice when it came to Mountain Climbers and Abs Progression Box 3.
Anyways, I drank way to much water right after which lead to me throwing  up and now the rest of the day I hunger sugar...and more sugar.  I guess that is what 48 minutes of hardcore workouts do to you, yes?
My Yoga then calmed my body...though it was quite hard after such a workout. That is all for today :)
Keep on pushing play, keep bringing it. Love Tony Horton!

Day 80. Too Many Curls, Bye Bye.

Today was the last time that I did Back and Biceps....sort of sad. I again did not check my numbers from two weeks ago too not push myself due to numbers but to just see how much I can do. I must add something real fast, I am a VERY clumsy person. As clumsy as can be...not graceful at all, so yesterday I fell down the stairs. During my fall I thought "shoot, I can NOT twist my ankle again and be out for so long." so I ended up sort of kicking my legs back and used my shoulder to land....my inner retard screamed at me saying something like "idiooooot, this will hurt you so much" but at least my ankle was alright. Well for the rest of the day I could not raise my arm, took naproxen, made love to my Icy Hot and hugged my cherry pit pillow which can be heated in the microwave; I was certain I would not be able to do today's workout though this morning  I took some naproxen and just did it. It  is more then likely just mad at me (my shoulder that is) and I was able to do my Pull-Ups. Here are today's numbers. Day 79! Plyo And Some Abs.

Auu! I am so incredibly sore today! I did not expect to feel it that much and I LOVE it! I see now why there is one extra lifting week in the last Phase. Only 11 days to go. I am sort of sad!
I finally got my 2lbs back. Ha! I upped my calories by 200 a day and are doing great with my diet. Found out that raw almonds are way better then roasted almonds and that is what helps me increasing my calories.
I am totally excited to make a transformation video after P90X! I am not too great at making videos, but who cares!

Anyways, did Plyo X today but skipped the bonus round plus round two so I can do Abs/Core Plus. I am trying not to do doubles until my cortisol levels are under control. So I figured I cut a bit out of one workout to be able to do the other one. I just had too...while I have the DVD why not use it. I am addicted  to  ab soreness O_O
That is all for today, I got interrupted a lot by my kiddos today so my heart rate did not go up higher then 148. Which is alright....goosfraba.

What a day, I am trying my hardest to avoid everything that might elevate my cortisol. Lol. Turns out dogs and kids are more stressful then I would have admitted a week ago.

Cortisol, I Do Not Need You Right Now

Good Sunday to all of you happy people. I am always very excited for Stretch X, there is just nothing that feels better!
Never the less I want to speak of cortisol a bit. I love my cortisol. Without it I would go insane with my stressful days at times or just fall over dead. On the other hand my gland also produces it more after physical stress and not just emotional stress. I have not even noticed that my body is THIS "stressed". Firstly, I did not have a, excuse me guys, "moon flow" in eight months, plus I sleep terrible but I am mostly always tired (past 9pm I am done with the world), I have nose bleeds at least twice a week and also bruise like a peach. Now I did go to the doctor for this of course. A normal blood test was taken and it turned out I am perfectly fine and my doctor told me most of it is more then likely due to me working out. I accepted that answer...Yeah...my inner retard tried to yell at me saying "you is so dumb!" I should have asked the exact reason behind it...I doubt my doc would have been able to even give me an answer.
Anyways, talking to my workout buddies and research I found out about cortisol and now all makes SO much sense. I wish my doctor would have told me  or would have had the knowledge, because she did see elevated cortisol levels (last year December) which she blamed on me having kids.
High levels of cortisol can hinder production of a lot of hormones two of them being Estrogen and Melatonin. HAHAHA! Would explain my missing period and my sleep problems. DUH! Also messes with inflammation...I bruise very easy and heal slow. So now I am trying Vitamin C. Starting with 2000mg a day. I will get myself Omega 3 as well. If you believe you got this going on, reducing cortisol is natural and easy :)
There is a whole lot more elevated cortisol does to your body, stress is bad. On the other hand having a low level of cortisol is bad as well...again...stress happens, how would you cope without it? After all it is a steroid hormone which helps us deal with any sorts of stress.

Anyways, I am not a doctor, if you think this is going on talk to a person with a degree and do no listen to me. I only have a certificate in "Dr. Google".

Factors generally reducing cortisol levels

  • Magnesium supplementation decreases serum cortisol levels after aerobic exercise, but not after resistance training.
  • Omega 3 fatty acids have a dose-dependent effect in slightly reducing cortisol release influenced by mental stress, suppressing the synthesis of interleukin-1 and -6 and enhancing the synthesis of interleukin-2; the former promotes higher CRH release. Omega 6 fatty acids, on the other hand, have an inverse effect on interleukin synthesis.
  • Music therapy can reduce cortisol levels in certain situations.
  • Massage therapy can reduce cortisol.
  • Laughing, and the experience of humor, can lower cortisol levels.
  • Crying (yup) can reduce cortisol levels.
  • Vitamin C may slightly blunt cortisol release in response to mental stressors.
  • Black tea may hasten recovery from a high-cortisol condition.
  • dancing!
  • Sex.

Adding Abs/Core PLUS

Hey there, what a beautiful Saturday it is!! It is about 64 degrees out and very enjoyable. I did my normal Kenpo X routine and also added my friends Abs/Core Plus to it and figured I would  record it. It was very hard, feels like my behind is just too large....lol.

Anyways, I shall go enjoy the weather some more. Don't forget to drink your water!

Legs And Back, I Feel Awesome!

Today I feel tons better then yesterday, or the day before...or the day before that. I am back to my old self. My diet is in check (after cheating yesterday) and I am enjoying my Shakeology! I am in the process of finding a second coach for my Beachbody business. I need some help here folks. We must stop the trend of obesity people. E-mail me if you wish to help me out.

Check out today's video right HERE and compare it to Week 2.
That is all for today friendly people! Need to go be a mommy!

Almost Done With This Cold!

Yes, I feel a bit better and are very happy about it. Now my little sweet daughter is starting to get sick though and that is INSANELY hard. Husband is working crazy hours, sick kid, I am sick...oh the dogs still need two walks a day. Laundry....Goulash almost ready? Darn...should not eat caramel covered popcorn. Pick up giant piles of dog crap, explaining my daughter that there is no monster under her bed, giving her a new lip gloss because she made no. 2 in the big girl potty, brush the Malamute...pet the Weim so she does not get jealous while I brush dog one. Vacuum now that I am done with the fur ball (very very big ball). Feed Malamute...(he is scared of food, previous owner didn't seem to care, he ate only one to two cups a day and is very underweight, now its 3 cups and a can of tuna,) fold laundry, realizing we are out of milk...running to the store, coming back, slapping my head cause I left the slow cooker on, cleaning the cat litter box, drinking a Shakeology shake, playing Starcraft II with my son, wondering why Juliet has my phone, putting laundry away, stopping the dog from eating my daughters baby doll, cleaning the kitchen AGAIN!, pulling on my hair to see if I can still feel pain, using the restroom to find two kids and two dogs waiting on the other side of the door, really wanting to eat a whole chicken, watching my son chasing his cat, watching my daughter hide in the cabinets, phone calls, reading a letter from HOA saying we have some weeds in the front that need pulling, PULLING the F'ing weeds, drinking a coke zero (yes I know), sitting on my bed for a second wondering how awesome it would be to sleep, finding my daughter with all of her nail polish on the kitchen floor my son is next to her totally proud he was able to open them all for her (waahhh!!!!!), dishwasher is done, thing must be broken cause the dishes don't seem clean, hand  washing the dishes.....AND THEN?! Yoga X and the world seems wonderful again. Thank you P90X.

Day 73 Shoulders And Arms

What's up fraaands! I am in a grant mood today. The year is dying and I can smell it. The smell of Autumn is in the air and it is clearing my head. Me and my kids, and my crazy dogs, went for a morning walk. This is surely like a workout since the dogs, together, weigh 210lbs. Thor, my Malamute weighs 140lbs and Storie my husbands Weimaraner weighs 70lbs. My kiddos are two and four years old and good grief they walk either too slow or way to fast.
Today it was Day 73, Shoulders and Arms, a workout I enjoy greatly, I did all sets, but Shoulder Flys, with 10lbs and did 15-20 reps at all times. Incredible improvements considering coming from 6-8 reps with 10lbs or using 5lbs weights.

Click HERE to see my Day 73  Shoulders and Arms video! Compare it to Day 3 Shoulders and Arms. Also a picture of my troop.

Plyo X And Core

Guten Morgen friends! Today I must say I killed Plyo X. I was quite impressed that I was able to bring it like this even though it was such a crazy long weekend with a tad to much vodka and way to little sleep (never the less it surely was a fantastic weekend). I did my Plyo X and then some Pull-Up Bar core work which hurt intensely.

Asylum will be here on Thursday. *buzzes* How strange it is to look back to Chalean Extreme...how nice was it to do a 28 minute long workout (tops 45 min). Ahhh...I must say I like all programs the same. So far each changed me differently and I love all those little changes.
Oh but then there is the mother of them all. P90X2. I am so glad I pre-ordered. It is my personal Christmas gift and I will start the minute it gets here! I ordered at 9am sharp so I hope I will get it nice and early. lol

Check out what P90X did to my core. :D I love it!

Chest and Back. Killer.

Remember the second time I did Chest and Back!?! It seems so long ago but was the beginning of July. That day I did 95 Push-Ups and 61 Pull-Ups. Half of my Push-Ups  I did on my knees and all Pull-Ups I did with a foot on a little chair which makes me seem taller, aka taking away range of motion which makes it easier then a big chair (like in the videos). Over time I was able to change the little chair into a bigger chair and push it away more which makes it SO much harder. Then, on good days, I was able to do half of my Pull-Ups without the chair though it is a lot of helping with my legs. So in the end I get the best workout by using a bar stool which I push away until my leg fits on it straight so I can put just my heel onto the chair. Anyways, here are today's numbers!!

Standard Push-Up Week 1: 11/11,  Week 11: 24/25
Wide Front Pull-Up Week 1: 11/11 , Week 11: 10/11
Military Push-Up Week 1: 5/8 (knees), Week 11: 14/17 (knees)
Reverse G. Pull -Up Week 1: 10/10, Week 11: 10/11
Wide Fly Push-Up Week 1: 10/9, Week 11: 20/21
CG Overhead Pull-Up Week 1: 11/11, Week 11: 8/9
Decline Push-Ups Week 1: 12/11, Week 11: 20/23
Heavy Pants Week 1: 10lbs 12/12, Week 11: 20lbs 15/13
Diamond Push-Ups Week 1: 6/5 (knees), Week 11: 15/21 (toes)
Lawn Mowers Week 1: 10lbs 13/13, Week 11: 20lbs 16/16, 17/17
Dive Bomber Push-Up Week 1 3/4, Week 11: 13/14
Back Fly Week 1:  5lbs 16/14, Week 11: 10lbs 16/14

95 in Week 1 (or 2, not sure) and 227 in Week 11!! (that is 27 more then two weeks ago!). As for the Pull-Ups they might seem more in the beginning but only because I used a help with my box. O_O
I am totally pumped right now! :D

P90X Interval X Plus

Thanks to my buddy I was able to try out P90X Interval X Plus. The whole Plus series is insane he says so he gave me this one to try out. It was so much fun! It was about 36 minutes long. Each set is a minute long, 20 seconds you go at a slow rate, then 20 seconds medium and then 20 seconds ALL out. The Squad Jacks kicked my butt. Even slow it is hard to do squad jacks this long but then going all out?! How do you go all out on that? Well you tap the floor with your hands. I cursed quite a bit  and was able to record a average heart rate of 159. Pretty neat. I might bug him again for it! Yesterday I put in my pre-order for P90X 2 Deluxe and also my order for The Asylum. Remember, you have only two more days to pre-order your P90X 2  copy and you will not be charged until it ships in December!

Enough of that, I am going dancing tonight...with my love. Hope Interval X Plus did not take it out of me too much! Love most of you, as always.

Grrr, Still Sort Of Sick "ish"

Hello everyone! Damn how annoying flies can be!! I still feel under the weather and on top of that my Weimaraner decided, last night,  to jump  onto my back while I was sleeping in my bed, 70lbs on a not so ready me. It hurts a lot I could not do a single Pull-Up today.
I very much am sick of carbs...veggie carbs, oatmeal carbs, any carbs. I tried it for two weeks now and I feel about 19 weeks pregnant and tired more then usually. Tomorrow I will start my high protein again. Just works best for me. Often I wondered why it is I feel this way on carbs, blood tests where being done and weird sugar/glucose tests, I would always test borderline. Guess it just does not work :)

Right now  I am waiting for my husband to come home.  I shall be going to sleep until tomorrow. Oh awesome thing happened. ChaLEAN Extremes Facebook fan page featured me! Haha, I feel special! Check it out here: Transformation of the Week.

Got My Butt Kicked Today

So, one sick day really took it out of me. I feel like I gained 3lbs in water, my throat itches and overall I feel "blah". I pressed play anyways and feel better about myself. I am twice as tired though. I still have to do my  second workout, which I will keep short today, and then walk my dogs. They, together, weigh in at 210lbs. That is 40% more  then me. HAHAHA

So if you are sick, really sick, it is, of course, wiser to take a step back, bombard yourself with Vitamin C and drink lots of water. Yet if you feel like you CAN push through I'd say it is worth it. Surely you should listen to my body. I rock at that so I pushed and it did help. If I would have pushed it yesterday I would feel worse today. For me, working out, works like medicine. For years I battled depression. Was on medication, visited a shrink, was in a clinic and was diagnosed with TMS (Tension  Myositis Syndrome = mental issues turn into physical pain/issues) Yep...Bri is being all open and honest today. I must say, next to my family, working out has done wonders for me. I am off of any medication!...Pain is Weakness leaving the Body. I find, when you are in pain, you learn the most about yourself. (too corny?!) I am not saying eating clean and working out fixed me, but I learned about myself and am now able to figure out triggers, avoid things, or when it is to late, pull myself out of the dark hole in no time. I am so much fitter then I have ever been....mentally and physically and I love Beachbody (and my family) for that! That's all.
Here are my numbers, first number is 5 weeks ago, last number is today (remember I am sick, yes I am sitting here with a 102 fever). Check out my picture! My teeth look shiny! lol
