Bun Shaper = PAIN!

I did it! I did Bun Shaper....one of my favorite workouts yet I also dread it because the next day I am always in pain. No other workout leaves my buns and legs as sore as One on One Bun Shaper with Tony Horton.
Check out my picture :D

Interval X

yeah yeah, I know. According to the Hybrid I was suppose to do Plyo X. I just did not feel like jumping so Interval X was very nice to do instead. I have quite the terrible sinus pressure so I figured jumping would not be to wise anyways.
I got a good sweat on and without it I don't think I would have gotten anything done at all. Yet because the workout got me going I actually did a lot even though I feel so stuffed and sore from yesterday. Yay meTomorrow I have to do Bun Shaper. Fun workout but rather painful.

Chest/Shoulder/Triceps O_O

I forgot how hard P90X's Chest, Shoulder and Triceps is. Of course I said the same about Chest and Back yet I am semi certain that this one is worse. It takes all my energy to do this one. Yesterday I was progress day. I took my inches and weight myself. I am happy with the inch loss!
I hope all of you are eating well after Thanksgiving. I have been living on turkey.
Here we go!

After 30 days of my own hybrid...which was very low key (5 times a week) I lost 2.6lbs and 2.3 inches.
Own Hybrid Day 30 122.3lbs

right arm 10 inches 0
left arm 10 inches +0.2
right leg 19 inches -0.9
left leg 19 inches -0.9
butt 35. 8 inches -0.2
hip 32.2 inches 0
waist 24.4 inches -0.5

The Day After....

The day after Thanksgiving. Hope you enjoyed it all as much as I did. I did tons of cooking, not too much eating and this morning I gave away all the unhealthy stuff (bye bye pecan apple cobbler). I do have lots of turkey left over...which is great, gives me good protein. :D
I also did a good workout this morning though I did not sleep well (thanks vodka). I did Burn Interval instead of Speed and Agility and some of Tony Hortons One on One Just Arms.
That is it for today. Lots of cleaning to do.

Plyo? Na, Not Today.

I have a tad of a problem. Since 3 days I get horrible side stitches as soon as I start doing ANY Plyo work. This is strange for me...it is in a different spot then usually and starts right away. Normally I jump rope everyday. Guess I have to put that on hold. Knowing this I still tried to do Plyo but had to stop. I did the Burn Off Challenge from Chalean Extreme instead which is 30 minutes long...I also added my standard arm workouts. I do 20 (5lbs low weight) reps of Biceps Curls, Shoulder Press, Lateral Raises, and Overhead Triceps Extensions (makes 80 reps). I do 5 sets (400 rep, twice a day, every other day). It does not even hurt (until the last set) but makes my arms feel awesome.
This is about all for today. I am sure I will find time to press play tomorrow...NOT. Hahaha! I will try of course.

Major Bum Burn.

Hello all of you :)

It is an incredible day out there so I won't post much to get outside with my kids again.
It was Speed and Agility today. 25 minutes into the workout I got horrible side stitches...took a break but it would not stop. I figured pushing it would not be too wise so I did round 1 of One on One Bun Shaper. It really hurt! haha.
Alright friends, that's about it. It is too beautiful outside to even waste a single minute inside.

Core Syn, How I Missed You!

I had quite the long weekend. Love going out with my man! Before we left to go out he took me to the store to get me a new pair of jeans. I always got myself jeans that go to my belly button using the excuse "I am a mom, I can not wear low rise" when in all honesty I did not wear it due to the muffin top that graced my behind. Well...I found a cute pair. Size 4 long. Down from 16...if you remember. har har
I got my eating back under control and did my Ab Workouts yesterday just did not know what else to write so I figured I pull it into today's post.

Today is the first day of my "Recovery Week" and Core Syn was on the menu. Love this workout to pieces. It is one of those workouts that you can really concentrate on. Each move has to be controlled to use every core muscle available. You go slow...and it feels amazing. My reps where good and I used, as always, 5lbs for those sets.
I also like to take 25 minutes a day to watch my show (Modern Family). While I sat there drinking my water I figured it be so much smarter to do some arm sets. I did some biceps, shoulders and triceps. It felt nice....because I was distracted the entire time. I feel the burn already!
The last couple days I also came to realize that a day without workouts will not bring me back to 200lbs again. Nice to finally know that. Hope all of you are as excited for Thanksgiving as I am. <3 you all!

Kenpo X Instead Of Speed And Agility

Hey frieeeends. Today was suppose to be Speed and Agility yet I have some issues with calories due to new meds meaning they have been way to low the last two days. Figured I should do an easier workout to not burn even more so I did Kenpo X. I forgot how boring this workout is...lol. Ankle weights make it a bit better but it is nothing compared to Kenpo X Plus...whenever I do that one I feel like a darn Gladiator. So awesome! I should do it next time with my sons plastic swords in my hand!
My 5 year old took a few pictures of me today. They always a tad fuzzy but I absolutely love it. Make sure you drink lots of water during such a dry season!

Did One on One Just Arms with just 5lbs today. Push-Ups burned me out and I know 5lbs is enough for my forearm.

Lying Triceps Extensions 15/18

Incline Curls 18/20
Seated Reverse Forearm Curls 15/15

Overhead Triceps Extensions 17

Oh Dear.

I feel absolutely horrid. Yesterday was the FIRST day since April that I missed a workout due to not having free time. I was anxious all day, running around getting things done. I was so busy that I ended up eating some greek yogurt and a protein bar and that is it. Today I feel totally under the weather due to the whole not eating enough thing...so pulling doubles will be hard. Chest and Back is on the menu plus One on One Just Arms. I just finished Chest and Back though did only the Chest part to have enough energy for the second workout later. Here are the numbers from my Chest and Back Chest part. lol
More will follow soon!

Standard Push- Ups 30 toes (improved 2) / 23 toes (improved 3)
Military Push- Ups 18 toes (improved 3) / 15 toes (improved 1)
Wide Fly Push- Ups 37 toes (improved 7) / 20 toes (improved 0)

My Poor Hamstrings!!

Good morning, did I mention that Bun Shaper from 3 days ago left me sore? Mostly in my hams...Today I was still a tad sore when I realized I have to do The Asylum Back to Core. This workout ALWAYS leaves me in pain and with all the Hip Ups I surely felt it. Amazing how painful it can get...and how disturbing that I like it O_O
I have to stretch a whole lot for the next two days. I feel very stiff!
I also still feel like I want a treadmill...so if ANYONE has one too many, I gladly take it. HA!

This is what it looks like at 6.15am in our neighborhood. Nice to run in but I like running while my kids play...which only works during the day.

Fitness Tips for Cancer Patients

It is essential to stay active when dealing with cancer. It may also be one of the most difficult tasks to accomplish
on a regular basis due to the side effects of treatment or the limiting aspects of the disease itself.

There are a few things to consider when approaching exercise as a cancer patient.

• Be aware of your limits, accept that you may not be able to run a mile like you previously were able to.
• Fatigue is a large part of having and treating the disease.
• There are going to be days that you simply do not want to exercise.
The key is to plan around these issues and create built in methods of encouragement to keep participating in daily
activity.

You may find that there is a certain time of day that you seem to have more energy. Keep this in mind and plan to
go for a walk, work in the garden, or go shopping. Exercise does not mean that you are required to go to a gym.

Provide multiple methods of activity to indulge in. On days that are good, and energy is high, participate in more
rigorous activity like a good jog or lifting weights. The days that are difficult to get out of bed, plan for easier
activities, consider stretching, yoga, or Tai Chi.

Start with small goals, then extend if still feeling well enough to continue. For example, set the goal of 15 minutes
of planned activity a day. If it is a good day and the 15 minutes is completed, continue exercising if able to.

Plan to participate in something that brings enjoyment or interest, this will encourage participation.

• Walk on trails rather than on the neighborhood streets
• Go to a park or a dog park
• Volunteer with a school
• Participate in arts and crafts or gardening
• Take a class to learn yoga or tai chi
• Visit a museum, art gallery, or mall

Invite friends or family members to participate in the exercise. This is a great bonding experience and makes the
time pass more rapidly. It also offers encouragement to continue the effort.

Physical activity is important for people suffering from all types of cancer, including breast cancer, bladder cancer

and even rare types like papillary mesothelioma. Discuss with your physician the right activity level for your

current health. While regular exercise is an excellent method to manage stress and boost the immune system, too
much can cause unwanted complications.

A Whole Lot Of Things.

It is Thursday, that means tomorrow is Friday which means it is almost the weekend! WUHUUU!
I had another stressful  day, though I have such good kids...they made it so much easier. We had the kid's dental appointment first. Both kids are cavity free. Dentist said, until a child turns 9 years old, you should brush your child's teeth. Well duh! Who would not do so? They did fantastic as always.
Today is Abs/Core day so I started with Ab/Core Plus...I felt kind of bored (ish) (which doing laundry, homeschooling and cleaning my kitchen which I just can't get behind with) so I tossed in some Burn Interval (Chalean Extreme) which I missed SO much. I did the whole workout with 10lbs weights. Shoot me now. I managed to keep my average heart rate at 144. Tonight I will do some Ab Ripper X while watching all my shows. Maybe I will even have a glass of red wine. Hope all of you are well!
Here is a picture of my beautiful baby.  Nothing from me today. HA!

Cardio And Sore Legs.

Good grief am I sore today...it isn't too bad but leaves me all stiff so my warm up took a lot longer then usual.
Medicine Ball Cardio went good. Not my favorite but I like that it is different. I used a 5lbs weight and kept my heart rate above 130 which was quite hard but I got there by round 2. I also do a lot of jump rope and got quite fast...
Right now I am watching The Biggest Loser and I am amazed on how much they push Yoplait fat free/sugar free yogurt. Since when is fat free healthy? Or fake sugar? I rather have plain Greek yogurt, if you don't like it that sour add some raw sugar. A lot healthier then all the substitute sugar crap (yeah I wrote crap).
Overall...lately Greek yogurt is about the only dairy I have. Why do we drink cows milk? What happens if you feed ANY animal anything else but moms milk? They do not thrive and even die. Now this does not mean I suggest drinking human milk (O_O) but if you like milk try almond milk...lot's of calcium and you won't have problems digesting it. It is suppose to have so much calcium...we drink TONS of it but have the highest rate of
osteoporosis. Weird eh? Not to mention milk can be the cause of SO much more. Of course there are lots of papers stating that it is healthy but to me drinking cows milk makes no sense at all.
Anyways, I wish you all a grand day <3 Love most of you. As always.

Shape Those Buns.

Good morning!
I am a tad on the edge right now...my 5 year old seems to believe I am responsible for his play time. Meaning he is in the phase where he has zero idea what to do with himself unless I lay it out for him. Needless to say he bothers his sister, or the cat....or the dog. Oh well...I am quite sure it is a phase. lol
Bun Shaper from the One on One series (Volume 1) is great. Your heart rate goes up nicely and your core is worked as well. My bum is on FIRE! Here are my numbers...got to run!

   1. wide stance side-to-side squat 36/30
   2. front knee kick to back lunge 17/18  18/18
   3. side kick 30/30 26/26
   4. 8 card pick-up
   5. alternating side crossover lunge 26/24
   6. bent over chair back kick 27/28 20/20
   7. sit-down on stool squat 24/19
   8. super lunges  20/10
   9. core cut crunch side kick 20/20 15/15

What A Weekend.

My thoughts when it comes to flu shots? ^&%*$(# Yeah, first time my kids get a flu shot my daughter has a reaction and a fever of 104 in the middle of the night. Poor girl. She was fine the next day after the ER doctor gave her something to reduce the fever...surely scared the poo out of us. Her birthday was still fun and she loved her cake and gifts. Thank you everyone!

Chest and Back was awesome today! I took my time and are at the point where I just max out each set. Mostly I press pause because I can go longer then the time provided. My numbers certainly went up since last week, which amazes me. Chest and Back...you just never know! Here are some pictures and my numbers. (and yes I tried to flex but could hardly lift my arms)

A Good Day!

Good evening everyone :)  Today was a super stressful day but it ended on a grand note. Just this much...last year I got bad medical news but after one year of being healthy I got, today, the awesome news of being fine. Sure....I have to continue check ups but I am fine right now. My blood work came back perfect as well which made me sign in relief! I know, for sure, that me eating clean, plus indulging at times and working out hard got me to this point.
Anywaaaays, Back and Biceps kind of kicked me straight in the face today but my numbers where not too horrid. Take a look at them :) The next two days I have a rest day and Stretch X day. Sunday is my daughters 3rd birthday. So excited!

Abs Are On Fire

What a beautiful Thursday it is! There is snow everywhere  yet it is melting so fast in this warm weather. Colorado...you amaze me.
I did Ab/Core Plus today from the P90X Plus series which is one of my favorite workouts. All in all, everything that targets abs makes me happy. It is a short (23 minutes) but powerful workout which leaves my hands quite sore from hanging off of my Pull-Up bar.
Anyways, I am still sticking to my higher protein diet. So many friends of mine lately complain about being "stuck"  , that their are stalling or not losing much even over months. I then find out then most don't eat more then 1200 calories. Ladies and gents....you HAVE to eat. Most of us burn more then 2000 calories even without workout. Such a HUGE deficit will hurt you. You must fuel your body with the RIGHT food. Good fats (fat free is just...crazy) and good carbs (you would not believe how many green beans you can eat in one sitting).
I don't do butter...veggie oil or any of that nonsense. Though I do a LOT of nuts. And also quite a great  amount of olive oil...plus I take my Omega 3 capsules everyday. I eat simple and clean. Hardly anything comes out of a can (maybe soup if I don't have time to make it myself) or such. Just now I had chicken breast...no skin, 180g of it.

 I like nuts....

chiiiickeeeen!

Here are my numbers from today's workout:

  • Hanging Toe Tap Knee Raises 8
  • Tip Toe O Crunch 11/11
  • Scorpion Plank 16
  • Banana Cannonball 10
  • Hanging Up & Overs 10
  • Discus Throwers 10lbs 9/10
  • Warrior Bow 10/10
  • Scissor Climbers 9
  • Hanging Knee Kicks 10
  • Wood Choppers 10lbs 10/10
  • Down Dog Crunch 14

  • Mixed Bike 30 seconds
  • X Crunch 15/15
  • Plank Shinx with Plange 6
  • Seated Backstroke 0lbs 16

~~~ Interval X PLUS ~~~
What a fun workout. I always go half way through thinking "Ohhh this is nothing!"  until I hit the Jacks and all of the sudden my heart rate is somewhere at 172. I maintain an average of 159 in this workout...yay for Interval Training.
I woke up this morning to a white world. Means sledding with the little ones. On that note....enjoy this fine Wednesday!
X Me!!!
X me baby, X ME! How I missed Plyo X...I just knew I would have an easier time then ever due to The Asylums Vertical Plyo and I was right. Tony gives you so many breaks and I feel fantastic right now.
I am a tad sore from yesterday...nothing too horrid, just a gentle reminder. My abs are surely sore...from the Push-Ups. My hybrid concentrates a good amount on legs and abs so I should not get bored.
By the way, Challenge Packages will go online this afternoon. Huge savings for a Beachbody workout and Shakeology, plus you don't pay shipping. It is insane! As always hit be up if you are interested. I will send out e-mails as soon as we go live with the packages.
Here some mug shots! Keep on pushing play....I will go have my protein now. :)
